Customer Quick Select
The Select "Quick Select Customer" from the "Customers" menu (Quick Key Press CTRL + Q) brings up a list of all your customers stored in the SimplyPats\Data folder. This screen is designed to allow you to quickly open a SimplyPats data file without using the Open Dialogue to search through your files. Of course you can sort the list in any order simply by clicking on the column title. By default the list is sorted in Customer Name ascending order.
You can choose to Hide Ignored Customers or display all of your custoemrs in this list. See the Ignore button on how to ignore (hide) customers on this list.
Quick Move (CTRL + Letter)
Pressing in the Control Key follwoed by a letter key will move the highlight to the first customer name beginning with that letter. For example in the above list CTRL + R would take the highlight to RSR Systems Ltd.
Cancel
Closes the Quick Select Customer screen.
Open
Opens the currently highlighted customer in the list and displays the data in the main SimpyPats screen.
Import
Allows you to Import an Address from an existing SimplyPats Data file into the file currently open. Highlight the Customer from the List and choose Import.
Find
Use this button to find a particular entry in the list.
This option will create a Mail Merge source file containing a list of all your customers shown in the Quick Select screen and includes their full address and contact names . If you are using a word processor such as Microsoft Word (tm) you can use this file to create form letters or labels. Microsoft Word (tm) contains many options to filter the data when mail merging e.g. Just customers of a particular name or county. You are prompted what you want to call the mail merge file and where you wish to save it.
Refer to your word processor help file for help on how to use a CSV file as a data source for mail merging.
Ignore
If you click the Ignore button, the currently highlighted customer will be added to an ignore list. At the top of the Customer Quick Select Screen, Review Customers Screen and The Retest Calendar screen there is an option to show or hide the ignored customers.
If you click this button on a customer that is already in the ignore list, you will be prompted to un ignore the customer.
