Find Appliance Globally
Find Appliance Globally:
The Find Appliance
Globally screen can be viewed by clicking the "Tools"
menu and choosing "Find Appliances Globally
"
Unlike the Find Appliance feature which searches through the currently open
data file, this feature will allow you to find any given Appliance(s) based
on an Appliance Id or Description regardless of which SimplyPats Data file it
is in.
Find Options, selecting Appliance Id or Description
The "Appliance Id" or "Description" option to the right of the Find text field will need to be set prior to clicking find, by default this is set to Description.
Find Options, Equals or Contains
If you know the exact Appliance Id or Description of the Appliance that you are trying to find make sure the "Equals" option is set. If you only know part of the Appliance Id or Description, select the "Contains" option.
Find Options, From / To Date
Select the Date range to search based on "Test Date", usful if you want to find certain Appliances that were tested after a certain Date. Use the Trash Can icon next to the "From Date" drop down menu to clear the entries if needed.
Find
Click "Find" to find appliances based on the search criteria you have entered.
Cancel
Closes the Find Appliances Globally screen.
Open
Opens the SimplyPats Data file containing the currently selected appliance. The appliance that was found should be highlighted in the Main Screen.
Opens the Print Preview screen giving you the option to print out a hard copy of the Report or export in any of the existing supported digital formats.
Additional Options (Sorting and Grouping)
The main grid area has the same functionality as the grid on the main SimplyPats screen. Clicking a column header will sort the data in ascending or descending format, while dragging one or more column headers into the grouping area will separate the rows into groups. Any grouping can be cleared by dragging the column header back to where it was in the main grid.
