Connecting the PAT to your PC
Before going any further, make sure your PAT tester is connected to your computer using the supplied cable (only use the cable that came with your PAT tester). Setting what to use the Notes field on the PAT tester
Before downloading, ensure you have selected from the drop down box on the Pat Settings screen what you want to assign the Notes field on the Kewtech. Using the Notes Fields On Your PAT with SimplyPats
Downloading the Kewtech KT75
At power-on the KT75 runs through a self test procedure which displays in turn the data download configuration to which the tester is set, the input voltage that is selected and whether or not it is running in expert mode. Observe the display immediately after power is applied to see which download mode is set. SimplyPATS uses PATMANAGER format and the current setting should show as below.
If the KT75 download format is not set to PATMANAGER it will need to be changed. To do this press the RESET button to ensure that the following screen is displayed.
Next press the PROG button then repeatedly press the NO button until the option to select the download format is displayed as shown here.
Press the YES key. If the screen below is not displayed press the NO button until it is.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
Now press the RESET button to return to the initial scereen once more.
Once the download format is selected the data can be downloaded. First press the RESULT button then press NO until the following screen is displayed.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
Here, the first record of the batch to be downloaded is entered by using the numeric keys then pressing YES.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
Here, the last record of the batch to be downloaded is entered by using the numeric keys then pressing YES.
Press the YES button and the tester will display as below.
If the start and end values are incorrect press the NO key to re-enter them. Otherwise confirm the selection by pressing YES.

On The SimplyPats PAT Settings Screen
On the SimplyPats PAT settings screen first Select the Com Port that your PAT tester is attached to using the drop down box at the top of the screen.
To Start the Download process, click on the download button and you should see a screen similar to that shown below as SimplyPats waits for the data from your PAT tester.
Finally, Press the GO button on the Kewtech KT74/75 and the selected records will be downloaded to SimplyPats.
SimplyPats automatically creates a back up of the raw data downloaded from your PAT tester and places it in the RawData folder within the main SimplyPats folder. This location of this folder is usually C:\Program Files\SimplyPats 6\RawData\
KEWPAT Pro (Kewtech) Version
The KEWPAT Pro (Kewtech) Version of SimplyPats, only supports download from the Kewtech KT74, KT75, KT77 and Robin SmartPat 5000 5500, with manual entry of Asset and Test Data also supported.
