Connecting the PAT to your PC
NOTE! You DO NOT connect your Megger PAT410, Megger PAT420, Megger PAT450 with a cable, rather you download to a USB memory stick.
Setting what to use the Serial Number Field field on the PAT tester
Before downloading, ensure you have selected from the drop down box on the Pat Settings screen what you want to assign the Serial Number field on the Megger PAT400 Series. Using the Notes Fields On Your PAT with SimplyPats
Downloading the Megger PAT410, Megger PAT420, Megger PAT450
Press the HOME button on your Megger 400 Series PAT Tester and the following screen is displayed.
Make sure you have inserted a correctly formatted (FAT or FAT32) USB Memory Stick into the USB socket on your PAT Tester. Use the Right Arrow key on the Megger tester to show the Data TAB as shown below.
Use the Arrow keys on the Megger to Select Export Results To USB and then click the OK button on the PAT tester.
You will be prompted to enter a file name (NOTE! The filename can be a maximum of 8 characters and musn't include any spaces)
Once done, press the OK button on the Megger to save your data. You should receive a message saying that the data has been transferred successfully.
Remove the USB Memory stick and insert it into your PC. From the Pat Settings screen, select the Megger PAT410 / 420 / 450 and click on the Open Button.
From the File Open dialogue, navigate to your USB Memory Stick to select your data file saved from the Megger PAT Tester, (In the example below CHKBOX2.CSV) and click on the Open Button.
Raw Data Backup
SimplyPats automatically creates a back up of the raw data downloaded from your PAT tester and places it in the backup folder within SimplyPats. This is usually in the folder C:\Program Files\SimplyPats 6\Backup\
